Entering the cosmetic industry in 2018 marked the beginning of a deeply passionate journey for me, driven by an unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of product innovation. My initial foray involved establishing my own skincare line, a venture that provided me with five years of invaluable experience and insights. However, I soon realised that my interests extended beyond formulating products for my brand. I was determined to make a broader impact on the industry.

To achieve this, I undertook extensive research and pursued multiple certifications, including a diploma, to deepen my understanding of the core ingredients I work with daily. This educational pursuit equipped me with the knowledge and expertise necessary to excel in cosmetic formulation.

Upon completing my studies, I embarked on a new phase of my journey as a cosmetic formulator. My focus shifted to helping smaller, independent brands carve out their uniqueness in a competitive market through affordable and customised cosmetic formulations. I recognised the growing need for cost-effective yet high-quality formulations that would enable these businesses to distinguish themselves and thrive.

My work involves collaborating closely with these brands to understand their vision and translate it into unique products that resonate with their target audience. My journey in the cosmetics industry didn’t end with obtaining my diploma. I chose to further my studies to understand the complex world of cosmetic regulations across multiple countries, covering everything from labelling regulations to product claims. I quickly realised there was a significant lack of resources for navigating the regulatory side of the industry. The regulations set by governing bodies often appeared as a complex maze, lacking proper guidance. This gap led many businesses to unknowingly release products that didn’t comply with regulations.

The importance of these regulations became evident to me—they are the safety net ensuring that cosmetics on the market are not only effective but also safe and stable for consumers. Motivated by this understanding, I decided to offer a range of regulatory services to help businesses launch their products in compliance with their country’s regulations. My goal is to protect these businesses from potential investigations and costly product recalls that can damage their reputation and bottom line.
